From Cambodia to the World — Connecting Futures Through Dance
In 2026, DHSP hosted the Cambodia Qualifier for the “World Dance Colosseum (WDC).”
The event brought together dancers from Cambodia and beyond, creating an energetic stage where dancers crossed borders to compete through their skills and individual expression.
The competition provided Cambodian dancers with a new platform to challenge themselves on an international stage, while also serving as an opportunity to connect the dance communities of Japan and Cambodia through international exchange.
Although a Cambodian dancer did not take the championship title this time, the experience of competing on the same stage as world-class dancers provided significant inspiration to dancers working and training in Cambodia. We hope that the new goals and motivation born from this event will continue to inspire the growth and development of Cambodia’s dance scene.
The Cambodia Qualifier also opened a new path for international exchange and challenge, connecting the Cambodian dance scene with the WDC Japan Final held in Japan.
DHSP will continue to create opportunities for dancers from Japan and around the world to meet, challenge themselves, and grow, while promoting international exchange and nurturing the next generation through dance.
